We’ve just opened registrations for multi-mania 2008! !!! Europe’s biggest FREE multimedia FEST
Multi-Mania is a yearly one-day conference and award show in Kortrijk (Belgium) where 800 people from the multimedia industry in mid Europe come together to share knowledge, to get inspired or to connect and network. More then 30 speakers from around the world are presenting sessions on audio, video, design, development, 3D and game development .
During the evening there is an award show where you can see the best multimedia projects from the upcoming talents. We close the day with an exclusive 2M08 party till the late hours ! Entrance for the Whole Enchilada is FREE but you need to register to reserve your seat!
Ok, I am a bit late with my report but I was a bit busy the last weeks working on the Multi-Mania conference we are organizing in May but I really wanted to make a short wrap up of the conference.
In some words : 360 FLEX Europe was fantastic !! I cannot describe it in other words… the sessions were full of cool and interesting topics, I met a lot of very cool people and the food and drinks were crazy
I am not going in detail on all the sessions I followed (would take us tooo far), the only thing I want to say is that this conference was organized very good by John and Tom, very good speakers and very good atmosphere !!!
The atmosphere was that good, that we even found inspiration to make some really cool 30onAIR videos during the breaks Together with some friends we faked an onAIR bus tour, a silverlight session, etc… Let the movies tell the story :
There is just 10 days to go until the 360 Flex Europe conference starts!! I am really excited This is the first time the conference is coming to Europe after several successful editions in the US.
If you have not registered yet for the conference, you can still do. I will be a fantastic event with over 30 speakers .

Special for this event is that the sessions are 80 minutes long , and the cost is only 360 Euro for three conference days.
I will be doing a session on Monday about BlazeDS and LiveCycle Data Services. It will be an introductory session for people who havened used any of the Data Services before. The attendees will walk away with a very good foundation how Flex can be used with the several services of LiveCycle Data Services.
There is also an API constest still going on, more information about the contest you can find here. The winners will be announced during the Keynote on Wednesday. There is also a keynote on Monday that will be delivered by the EMEA Platform Evangelism team of Adobe. They will talk about the great stuff Adobe is doing in the European market.
I was very enthusiastic when I saw the French company iLog is doing two hands on session on Wednesday afternoon. iLog is the company that created a suite of professional user interface controls (Elixir) that gives developers a rich collection of innovative and interactive data display components. It includes ready-to-use schedule displays, map displays, dials, gauges, 3D and radar charts, a tree map chart and organization charts.

Multi-Mania 2008 will thé multimedia event you do not want to miss (in my opinion ). Whether you are working on web Development, Design, Audio, Video, 3D and Game Development this is your change to see some national and international speakers, learn from the masters and get inspired…and it is all for free !
But off course this is just 1/4th of the speakers yet… so keep on checking the site for updates (10times a day sounds ok)!
This is the 8th time we are organizing Multi-Mania and it seems like it will be the best event ever… we have a really cool new location… really cool speakers (some of them already online)… and a lot of interesting topics that will be covered.
The event will take place at may 23th in the cosy city called Kortrijk | Belgium in the middle of Europe. The event is totally free for all the attendees so we are expecting many people to attend this year’s edition. The whole event is separated in two parts:
- a conference during the day : 28 sessions !!
- an awardshow in the evening with a special guest… and a special act

FITC Amsterdam was a real blast, and I am already looking forward to the next European (or American) FITC edition! I met a lot of cool Flash people and had much fun during the after parties in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is such a wonderful city to organize a conference.
I did a session on Bitmap Manipulation with Flash on the second day of FITC and I was a bit afraid of the timing (9.00 o clock in the morning , right after the party) but I was quite surprised when I saw the room fully packed with enthusiastic folks wanted to watch the session… thank you all so much for being there soo early!
