Some Flash CS4 drawTriangles ART experiments

It is always cool to use features of Flash CS4 in a way where they were not designed/developed for :-). Well some time ago I made some sketches with the drawTriangles funtion. It is not fully random generated art, the painter can influence the way the artwork is made by using mouse and keyboard input. The generated splines are drawn and filled with bitmapData materials.

Next you can find 2 of the outcomes:

1.  “White Space Jack”

White Space Jack

White Space Jack

2. “Multiply”

Multiply

Multiply

It’s real fun to play with the DrawTriangles method and if you made something cool, let me know !

Happy Coding !

    cool stuff Koen,
    dito at the vectors,
keep going, you’ll end up 3dimensionalised at some point anyway;)

Exactly, the more I do stuff with drawTriangles(), the more opportunities it seems to have for creating all kinda Art …

Some experiments of mine – mostly stills although: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelero/tags/drawtriangles/

… main principle in these has been drawing the stage to a bitmapdata, and distortedly back with drawTriangles, and repeat that a few times.
