Bitmapdata spectrum visualisation experiment

Since a while I am experiencing with the bitmapData possibilities in actionscript 3.0. As a result on that I  made a spectrum visualiser (like so many other people already did…:-) ) but I focussed only on bitmapData manipulation (gradient fills, threshold, bit shitfing to accomplish right color with right amplitude,floodfill,…). You can see the experiment by clicking on the picture below. Oh my excuses for the maybe wrong music choice but I just needed some music with a very wide spectrum :-).

At the moment my source code is really dirty and undocumented but if you really don’t mind you can just download it and have a look at it:-). Feel free to give comment and say what you think about the experiment…

    cool stuff!! would you be kind enough to attach some working example (.fla) ?? unfortunantly i don’t know nothing about classes and their implementations.. tnx!

    @ amit: It is a AS 3 experiment so at the moment you just can run it in Flex builder 2.0. You have to open the .as class in a new AS 3 project , run the experiment with your own song and tweak some parameters… have fun !!
